STEWART HOUSE DAY 2010

Friday 14th May 2010 has been designated STEWART HOUSE DAY.  This has the backing of both the NSW Department of Education and Training, the Teachers Federation and the Federation of Parents and Citizens' Associations of NSW.

During Term 1, information will flow into schools promoting this event through the school principal and the NSWTF representative. The day coincides with Stewart House's annual presentation ceremony where schools' contributions for 2008 are honoured.

We ask all schools, large and small, primary, secondary and special, and their communities to organize special fundraising activities for Stewart House on or around Friday 14 May. We will acknowledge, as we have always done, outstanding fundraising efforts in our annual report and at the annual ceremony. School community organizations will receive further information on a special incentive being offered by the Teachers Credit Union for the school raising the most per capita for Stewart House before the end of May 2010.

Please note that this does not preclude schools from undertaking Stewart House fundraising at other times during the school year. Instead, we wish to provide a focal point for all schools to acknowledge the continuing work of Stewart House.
