Friends of Stewart House (FOSH) is a group of people with like-minded concern for making a difference in a child’s life. Formed over 75 years ago, FOSH’s primary purpose is to support the work of Stewart House through fundraising and volunteer ventures.
Membership has now expanded from former Department of Education employees and their relatives to encompass all those who wish to support such an iconic organisation. Members are invited to attend planned social activities for further fundraising and to volunteer their services in a variety of ways.
You can join online for as little as $15 per year. This forms part of the contribution made available to Stewart House annually.
We encourage all members and friends to join us throughout the year at Stewart House social events.

Tuesday 26 September – High Tea @ Beehive Cafe Beecroft
High Tea will be on Tuesday, September 26th at 10.30am (sharp) – 12.30pm You are more than welcome to stay for longer for lunch if you wish. This will be at the Beehive Cafe, Shop 4/ 1A Wongala Crescent, Beecroft . This is a 7 min walk from Beecroft Train Station. Alight from train, turn left onto Wongala Crescent, turn left and walk 150-200m.
The cost is $32 and includes high tea with unlimited tea / coffee and $10 donation to Friends of Stewart House.
There is Limited parking at Beehive Cafe. Additional parking is off Wongala Cres, north of Hannah Street. A train leaves Central at 9.20, arriving at Beecroft at 10.06

Saturday 11 November – Friends of Stewart House Race Day @ Newcastle Racecourse
Cost is $80 per person which includes a buffet lunch, private marquee overlooking the mounting yard and racecourse, TAB facilities, private bar (buy your own refreshments), entry into the races and a race book between two people. Newcastle Race Day at Newcastle Racecourse Chatham Road Newcastle. Time: 12 noon until 5 pm. Tickets will provided at the gate from 11.30 am. Tables seat 10 guests but individual tickets can also be purchased. There will be a raffle as well as some mystery betting on the day.

- Payment for our activities will normally occur on the day although bookings should be made no later than a fortnight prior to an event. Where numbers exceed places available then the first in will receive preference.
