Workplace Giving Transition to Smart

Stewart House donations made through NSW Department of Education workplace giving are now managed through Smart (formerly Smartsalary) as a pre-tax deduction arrangement.

What this means for existing donors:

• Donors who already had a Smart account had their Stewart House donation added to their existing account.
• Donors without a Smart account had one created and their donation transferred automatically.
• There are no fees associated with packaging charitable donations through Smart.
• Donations that were previously made post-tax were transitioned to pre-tax deductions.

The transition from Department-managed payroll deductions to Smart management was completed on 23 October 2025.
